Sunday is often called the Lord’s Day, a time set apart for worship, reflection, and renewal. This past Sunday was no different. It was a day dedicated to honoring faith, coming together as a family, and holding close those who need our prayers. One person in particular, Dennis Theel, is facing a difficult battle after a terrible accident. His story reminds us how vital faith and community support are in times of hardship.

A Day of Worship and Reflection
Sunday mornings bring a special rhythm. The quiet anticipation of worship, the familiar hymns, and the shared prayers create a space where many find peace. This Sunday, the focus was on worshipping the Lord, a reminder of the strength faith provides. Worship is not just a routine; it is a source of comfort and hope, especially when life feels uncertain.
After church, the day continued with simple, meaningful moments. A trip to get propane with some winnings from a bet added a practical touch to the day. Then came a homemade meal of chicken nachos, a reminder that nourishment comes in many forms—both spiritual and physical.
Prayers for Dennis and His Family
Dennis Theel’s accident has deeply affected his family and community. He suffered severe burns and is currently in the Harborview burn unit. This situation calls for urgent prayers—not only for Dennis’s healing but also for his wife, children, and grandchildren. Their strength is tested as they navigate this crisis.
Miracles are often spoken of in faith communities, and many believe that God is a miracle worker. Holding onto this belief can provide hope when the future seems uncertain. Praying for Dennis means asking for healing, comfort, and peace for the entire family during this difficult time.
Simple Acts of Care and Self-Care
The day also included moments of self-care and reflection on health. A homemade dinner of baked chicken with mozzarella and an egg was a nourishing choice. Drinking 48 ounces of water and two cups of coffee showed attention to hydration and energy, though there is a plan to increase water intake and add more fruits and vegetables tomorrow.
These small steps toward better health reflect a balanced approach to caring for the body, which complements spiritual care. Being back at a grandmother’s house, finishing homework, and relaxing with a western channel show the importance of rest and family connection.
Looking Ahead with Hope
Faith and family provide a foundation during challenging times. This Sunday was a reminder to cherish those moments of worship, to pray earnestly for those in need, and to care for ourselves and our loved ones. Keeping Dennis and his family in our thoughts encourages a community spirit that uplifts everyone.
