Yesterday was packed with activity, from serving up chicken street tacos at Snowbird Farm and Cidery to enjoying a lively Christmas party. It was a day full of hard work, festive moments, and a few unexpected surprises. Here’s a look back at how everything unfolded.

Selling Out 40 Pounds of Chicken

The day started early with prepping and cooking 40 pounds of chicken for street tacos. The event at Snowbird Farm and Cidery was busy, and the tacos flew off the table faster than expected. It was rewarding to see so many people enjoying the food, but it also meant I had to keep up a fast pace to meet demand.

This hustle was necessary because I needed to earn money for Christmas gifts and food. My school funds won’t arrive until after the holidays, so this event was a crucial opportunity to cover those expenses. Despite the rush, I stayed focused on quality and customer satisfaction.

A Festive Christmas Party with Games and Gifts

After the food event, I headed to a Christmas party that brought a different kind of joy. The atmosphere was warm and festive, with a punch board shaped like a Christmas tree filled with small gifts. We played a few games that sparked laughter and friendly competition.

One highlight was seeing Dr. White’s house, which was decorated with lights that made it look like a giant Christmas tree. The glow added to the holiday spirit and made the

Food and Unexpected Reactions

My food journal for the day was simple: two hard-boiled eggs and an apple before the event. At the party, I tried a small bowl of pozole and a few bites of fried rice and chow mein. Unfortunately, the chow mein didn’t agree with me. It caused me to throw up, which has happened before with Asian food. I suspect it might be a spice or ingredient I’m allergic to.

Despite this setback, the party was enjoyable, and I managed to keep my spirits high. I also brought three emu eggs to give to my friend Mitch, who will incubate them for someone else. It felt good to share something unique and meaningful.

Sharing Stories About Babies and Hair

One of the most touching moments at the party was chatting with the ladies about our babies and their hair. Mercedes had so much hair when she was born it made me feel a mix of sadness and happiness. It’s a reminder of the little surprises and joys that come with motherhood and family.

Looking Ahead

This busy day showed how much effort goes into balancing work, family, and holiday celebrations. Selling out 40 pounds of chicken was a big win, and the Christmas party brought moments of fun and connection. Even with the food reaction, the day ended on a positive note.

As the holidays approach, it’s important to find time for both work and joy. Sharing stories, giving unique gifts like emu eggs, and enjoying festive lights remind us what this season is really about. I’ll be back with another blog soon to share more from this busy time.
