Sunday often brings a chance to slow down and enjoy simple pleasures. This particular Sunday was a blend of spiritual connection, creative hobbies, and comforting homemade food. The day started with a Facebook stream of church service from Quinault Valley Chapel, followed by a cozy afternoon at home filled with cooking, watching shows, and picking up a crochet project again. Here’s a look at how this Sunday unfolded with meaningful moments and small joys.

Streaming Church and Family Time

The morning began with me at church, streaming the service for others on Quinault Valley Chapel’s Facebook stream. Watching church online has become a comforting routine, especially when attending in person isn’t possible. The service felt uplifting and set a positive tone for the day. After church, it was time to head home with mom, ready to enjoy the rest of the day together.

Streaming church services offers a way to stay connected to faith communities without leaving home. It also allows flexibility for those balancing busy schedules or health concerns. This Sunday’s service was a reminder of the power of community, even when experienced through a screen.

Homemade Chicken Nuggets and Relaxing Entertainment

Lunch was a highlight with homemade chicken nuggets packed with protein. Making chicken nuggets from scratch not only tastes better but also feels healthier. The nuggets were paired with a small cabbage salad, adding a fresh crunch to the meal. For dinner, the same breakfast was repeated: two hard-boiled eggs, a quarter of an apple, and a grain roll with peanut butter. This simple, balanced approach to meals kept energy steady throughout the day.

After lunch, the afternoon included watching “Stalking Samantha,” a show that was enjoyable but didn’t quite match the excitement of “Don’t Date Brandon,” which had been a favorite. These shows provided light entertainment and a chance to unwind.

Crocheting and Winter Slowdowns

Winter tends to slow down the taco business since many vendor markets and popups pause during colder months. This downtime is perfect for focusing on hobbies. The crochet blanket project was picked up again, waiting for the arrival of hot pink yarn to add a splash of color. Crocheting offers a creative outlet and a way to relax while making something cozy for the colder months ahead.

Challenges and Responsibilities

The day wasn’t without its challenges. Aunt Candy ended up in the emergency room with bronchitis, the same illness Grandma had. Unfortunately, she arrived at the pharmacy just 15 minutes after it closed, adding frustration to the situation. These moments remind us how important timely care and support are during illness.

On a positive note, the day included productive study time. Discussion questions for an assignment due Tuesday at 10 pm were completed early, allowing a head start on the next task. Managing responsibilities alongside personal time helps keep stress low and progress steady.
